May First Friday at Globe Salon
Every few months, the team at Globe Salon gets the urge to do something fun on First Friday, the homegrown arts festival that has blossomed into a full-blown street fair and block party for the revitalizing downtown neighborhood we call home.
What better time to join the fray than May, the month Las Vegas was founded (and just a few blocks from us at Main and Fremont streets!). This year, our young city celebrates its 108th birthday, and we’d like you to join us for a celebration.
Native Las Vegas artist Jerry Misko will show some of his signature neon-inspired works, while DJ Carey Cowart (who you may remember from our Fashion Fling) provides the music. And, we’ll be toasting our town with a tub full of a tasty treat called The High Roller, provided by The Lady Silvia.
Art, music, cocktails… Plus, we’ll have some great retail offers, Vegas-themed rings from another native, The Jeweler’s Daughter, and drawings for complimentary skin care services at Globe Salon. Also, as our neighbors at Amanda Harris Gallery are opening a new exhibition that night, you can make Soho Lofts a great jumping-off point for your First Friday festivities.
Whether you stop in for a quick hello, or stick around a bit, make Globe Salon a stop on your First Friday tour this week. We’d love to see you!
