Locally-owned Globe Salon named among Elle Magazine’s “Top 100 Salons 2011–2012”
Arts District Salon Repeats National Recognition for 2nd Year

LAS VEGAS, NV – Globe Salon, a multiple award-winning, locally-owned hair and skin care salon, has been named among Elle Magazine’s “Top 100 Salons” in the United States for the second year in a row. The honor is published in the article titled, “United States of Style: Popular cuts from coast to coast, and where to get them – Elle‘s Top 100 Salons.” It is found the August 2011 issue of Elle, available on newsstands now, and also at the Elle website. Elle is considered to be among the most respected arbiters of style in America.

“Since opening in 2000, and moving to Downtown in 2008, the Globe Salon team has worked very hard to elevate the salon experience, to connect with our guests and our community, and to provide excellence in service and skill. Opened October 31, 2000 at Charleston and Decatur Boulevards, Globe Salon relocated to the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District in July 2008, fulfilling the salon‘s longtime “Uptown Sophistication meets Downtown Style” approach with award-winning design and service excellence. Since relocating downtown, Globe Salon has earned two Elle Top 100 distinctions (2010–2011 & 2011–2012), and was named 2nd Runner Up in Salon Today’s nationwide Salon of the Year 2009 competition, for which only twenty salons are recognized nationwide each year. Globe Salon is the only Las Vegas/Nevada salon or spa to ever be recognized as a Salon of the Year, and one of only two Nevada salons named to the Elle Top 100 in 2011. The salon is part of the Kerastase, Bumble + Bumble, and BioElements salon networks, each respected as among the best in the nation.

Las Vegas natives Staci Linklater and James P. Reza operate Globe Salon with a team of employees handpicked by Linklater, and then trained by her and the rest of the team; the salon operates under a professional model and does not rent stations to independent contractors. Staci Linklater is also the president of the salon’s parent company.
