GLOBE SALON: Globe Salon Launches Redesigned Website

GLOBE SALON LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

It’s been a long time coming, but Globe Salon has launched a new website that the salon’s managers say “finally matches the image of who we are and what we do.” The salon’s previous website, which was developed prior to the salon’s opening in October 2000, served its purpose well, but was considered outdated by modern standards.

“It was very text-heavy,” says General Manager James Reza, “and used a Flash splash page.” Flash is an animation programing language. Web pages that incorporate Flash are inaccessible by iPhone, iPad, and other devices that take advantage of Web 3.0 technology, but are not Flash compatible.

Globe Salon’s new website, located at < globesalon.com >, is easily viewable on all desktop and mobile devices, and includes several features not found on the previous website, including a Gallery section showcasing photos, as well as Blog and News pages.

“We are excited about the new website, especially the Blog page,” says Reza. “We focus on communication at Globe Salon, and our new website, and in particular the Blog page, will allow us to connect with and engage our community in ways that we are unable to do in other media.”
