GLOBE SALON CELBRATES FIVE YEARS IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS
August 9th Party at Velveteen Rabbit to Mark Occasion

On Friday, August 9, 2013, from 7–9pm, the public is invited to join the Globe Salon family at Velveteen Rabbit (1218 South Main St, 702-685-9645) in celebration of the salon’s fifth anniversary of relocating downtown. The party will be invite-only from 5–7pm, but the public is invited to join the celebration at 7pm.

Velveteen Rabbit, the newest lounge to open in the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District, is operated by sisters Christine and Pamela Dylag, and focuses on craft beer and seasonal handmade cocktails. Attendees to the Globe Salon party will enjoy a specially-priced selection of draft beer ($3) and a tasty adult summer punch ($3). Globe Salon selected the Velveteen Rabbit as their party venue as a way to introduce salon guests to the latest offering in Downtown, as well as supporting businesses in their neighborhood.

“Every time a new business opens in downtown, we are thrilled,” says Salon Director Staci Linklater. “We want to welcome Velveteen Rabbit as another important piece of the ongoing downtown renaissance, and there’s no better way to do that than to share our success with them.”

The locally-owned Globe Salon opened in October 2000, and built a new location in the Arts District’s Soho Lofts in July 2008. Now in its thirteenth year serving Southern Nevada, Globe Salon is as a professional salon that does not rent its chairs, and has been recognized via numerous awards and recognition (from both local and national press) as being among the best in the city, including a Southern Nevada Human Resources Association nomination for “Best Places to Work” and the following:
